As promised, Hostin later appeared in a pre-recorded segment featuring Unstable co-stars Rob Lowe and John Owen Lowe. However, she did not return for the rest of the live broadcast, and Goldberg did not provide any further details on her condition or when she might be back.

In a post on X (formerly Twitter), the show confirmed that Hostin was out due to an illness. However, they emphasized that it was not COVID-19 and refrained from disclosing any further details about her condition.
Hostin, who has been a key part of The View since joining in Season 20 back in 2016, has built a reputation as a sharp legal analyst and seasoned journalist. Before her time on the show, she worked as a legal analyst at CNN and served as a fill-in co-anchor for ABC News’ World News Now and America This Morning.
