Sarper’s K-1 Visa is Approved, But His Enthusiasm is Not

On 90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way, fans were shocked when Sarper Vural, a Turkish fitness enthusiast, revealed his reluctance to relocate to the U.S. with his fiancée Shekinah Garner. While many couples on the show eagerly anticipate their new lives together in America, Sarper’s reaction was far from enthusiastic when Shekinah announced that his K-1 visa had been approved. Instead of sharing in Shekinah’s excitement, Sarper looked uneasy, admitting in a confessional that he wasn’t thrilled about the idea of leaving Turkey.

This hesitation came as a surprise to Shekinah, who dressed up in a playful outfit, hoping to celebrate the milestone with Sarper. However, his lack of enthusiasm left her feeling uncertain. Sarper later shared his true thoughts, revealing that he’d always envisioned life with Shekinah in Turkey and had no real desire to pursue the “American dream.” This revelation marked the beginning of Sarper’s plan to convince Shekinah to abandon her plans and consider a life together in Turkey.

Sarper’s Bold Plan to Propose in Turkey as a “Last Chance”

Rather than embrace the opportunity to move to the U.S., Sarper decided to attempt a bold plan that he hoped would convince Shekinah to stay in Turkey. He revealed his intentions to his cousin Füsun, explaining that he wanted to propose to Shekinah in Turkey, complete with a traditional Turkish engagement ceremony. Sarper believed that this would be his “last chance” to persuade Shekinah to build their life together in his home country.

The Turkish engagement ceremony, he thought, could give Shekinah a new perspective on life in Turkey. However, his cousin Füsun was doubtful, noting that Shekinah had always been clear about wanting to move to the U.S. Füsun’s skepticism didn’t deter Sarper, though, as he continued planning an elaborate proposal, hoping it would spark a change of heart in Shekinah and lead her to rethink the path ahead.
