Dylan Dreyer Quietly Puts NYC Apartment Up for Sale—Fans Speculate About a Possible Financial Struggle Linked to Her Husband

Dylan Dreyer has discreetly listed her luxury NYC condo for sale, fueling speculation that financial troubles may be the reason. Is there more to the story?

Dylan Dreyer’s Manhattan Apartment Hits the Market

Today show anchor Dylan Dreyer has quietly relisted her upscale New York City condo for $2.5 million, nearly eight years after she and her husband, Brian Fichera, purchased the residence.

Dreyer, 43, and Fichera, 38, originally bought the two-bedroom, two-bathroom unit in June 2016, just months before welcoming their first son, Calvin, in December of that year. Now, with their family having expanded to include sons Oliver, 5, and Rusty, 3, the couple may be seeking a more spacious home.

According to real estate records, Dreyer and Fichera first attempted to sell the apartment in late 2023. However, the listing was abruptly pulled after just two weeks—only to resurface again in early January 2024 at the same price.

The 1,491-square-foot residence, built in 2008, boasts floor-to-ceiling windows overlooking Battery Park, an open-concept living area, and a modern chef’s kitchen outfitted with sleek gray cabinetry, marble countertops, and state-of-the-art appliances.

The listing describes the primary suite as “oversized,” complete with a spa-like five-fixture bathroom featuring limestone flooring, teak cabinetry, and high-end Waterworks fixtures.

The second bedroom, designed for the couple’s three children, includes a custom-built three-level bunk bed, playful decor, and ample built-in storage to maximize space.

A Luxury Building with High-End Amenities

Despite the apartment’s compact layout, the high-end building offers an array of luxury amenities.

Residents have access to:

  • A full-time doorman and concierge service
  • A sky-lit indoor pool, hot tub, sauna, and steam room
  • A state-of-the-art fitness center
  • A children’s playroom
  • A 7,000-square-foot rooftop terrace with cabanas, a wet bar, and commercial-grade barbecue grills

Its prime location in Battery Park City places it within walking distance of popular restaurants, parks, and entertainment venues.

Dreyer and Fichera purchased this condo in 2016, after selling their Upper West Side co-op for $862,000. In addition to their NYC residence, the couple owns a stunning four-bedroom, three-bathroom home in Point Lookout, NY, which they purchased in 2021 for $2.5 million.

Why Are Fans Worried?

While it’s possible that Dreyer and Fichera are simply upgrading to a larger home, some fans speculate financial struggles could be at play—particularly involving Fichera.

Dreyer has previously hinted at outgrowing their Manhattan condo but seemed determined to make it work for as long as possible. In January 2022, she posted a photo of her family inside the apartment, writing:

“‘You have to move,’ they said. ‘You’ll never fit in your apartment,’ they said. ‘Time for a bigger place,’ they said. This is how you do it in NYC. I think they all fit just fine… for now.”

The fact that the apartment has been listed multiple times and then pulled from the market raises questions about whether they’re struggling to sell or facing other challenges.

Dreyer’s Parenting Debate Sparks Online Reactions

News of her home hitting the market comes shortly after Dreyer sparked controversy over a highly detailed babysitting schedule she prepared for her in-laws.

The Today star recently shared a glimpse of her meticulously planned calendar, which outlines her children’s daily routines, meals, and activities. Posting the schedule on social media, she jokingly asked:

“How much fun would it be to have me as your daughter-in-law?? I think I’m being helpful! Sound off: helpful or impossibly annoying???”

While some fans applauded her organization skills, others felt the level of detail was excessive:

  • “I love a well-planned schedule, but this feels overwhelming!”
  • “A little too structured—kids need some flexibility!”
  • “This seems like a control issue, not a helpful guide.”

Defending her approach, Dreyer explained that her mother-in-law appreciates the schedule, as it allows her to focus on enjoying time with the kids instead of worrying about logistics.

“She wouldn’t tell me if she didn’t like it, but I think she finds it helpful,” Dreyer shared.

Is Dylan Dreyer’s Apartment Sale a Sign of Bigger Issues?

While moving to a larger home makes sense for a growing family, some fans worry that financial troubles may be influencing the decision—especially given the repeated listings and removals.
